Finn Harps suffered a 4-3 defeat to UCD on Friday night in their final league game of the First Division season.
Kevin McHugh’s men took the lead after 12 minutes through Gradi Lomboto however, three goals courtesy of Declan Osagie, Carl Lennox and Adam Brennan saw the Students lead by two at the break.
William O’Connor’s side’s advantage was stretched after the restart when Jake Doyle found the back of the net.
The Dublin based club were reduced to ten men on 67 minutes when Dara Kavanagh was shown a red card.
The hosts fought back at the end, with Conor Tourish and Joel Bradley-Walsh getting their name on the scoresheet.
However, they were unable to find a leveller and O’Connor’s outfit left with the three points.
