Galway United 1-0 Finn Harps
Finn Harps lost their third game of the season as Vinny Faherty proved to be the matchwinner for Galway United in Eamonn Deacy Park tonight.
Ollie Horgan’s men were comfortable in the first half, and their goalkeeper Richard Brush was only tested once. Kevin Devaney did shoot wide from a decent position for Galway, but Harps winger Ryan Curran also spurned a decent opportunity for the visitors.
Dave Scully headed over for Harps before Faherty finished to the net in the 59th minute after a fine low cross from Devaney.
Harps tried to get back into the match, but they couldn’t find a goal, and they will hope to get back to winning ways against St Patrick’s Athletic on Monday night.
