Harps looking for back-to-back wins against Bohs

Ollie Horgan, Finn Harps manager

FINN HARPS manager Ollie Horgan feels his team will be up against it when they welcome Bohemians to Finn Park tonight at 8pm.

Harps go into the game buoyed by a fine away win against Drogheda last week, and a victory in Ballybofey, would bring them to within two points of Bohs.

Horgan’s side have already tasted defeat at the hands of Bohemians this year, and he says that Keith Long has strengthened his team considerably since that.

Former Sunderland defender Dan Casey signed for the Dublin team this week, while they have also recruited Ciaran O’Connor, who spent the first half of the season playing for Harps.

“We played them up in Dalymount 11 weeks ago, and they beat us handy enough 2-0,” said Horgan.

“They’re a stronger team now than what they were back then too, and they’re raised the standard.

“They’ve brought in Ciaran O’Connor, who has basically gone straight from us to them, and they have three or four others in as well.

“You have to give huge credit to Keith Long and Trevor Croly for the job they’ve done there.

“At the start of the season, it looked like they might be in relegation bother but now they’re pushing well up the table.

“They’re a serious outfit, and we’ll be doing well to get anything from the game.”
