Harps get first point with a draw against Bray

Finn Harps picked up their first point of the season when they drew with Bray Wanderers in an entertaining game at Finn Park tonight.

Dave Rogers’s Harps took the lead in the 17th minute when Ryan Flood scored an exquisite free-kick.

However, Bray drew level 13 minutes later when Harry Groome fired an excellent volley to the net.

Harps were much the better side in the second half even though they didn’t create a huge amount of chances.

They did have a great opportunity to win it in the 88th minute but Ellis Farrar’s header just went in the wide.

In the end, Harps had to settle for a draw but it was an improved performance from Rogers’s charges.
