Finn Harps 0-1 Treaty United
FINN Harps fell to another disappointing home defeat when they were beaten by Treaty United at a damp Finn Park this evening.
The first half was poor fare and neither side looked like scoring.
The teams were deadlocked at the break but Harps endured a disastrous start to the second half when the Limerick side broke on the counter and Dean George fired past Rory Kelly in the 47th minute.
Sean O’Donnell had a good chance to level four minutes later but Corey Chambers saved.
The home side went very close to levelling in the 59th minute but Caomhin Porter saw his his header cleared off the line by Mark Walsh.
Harps pushed hard but there was more frustration as Scott Wara’s header was hooked off the line as it appeared destined for the net.
Dave Rogers’s men couldn’t force another clear-cut chance and this defeat knocks them down to ninth in the table, six points off the play-offs.
