Finn Harps have confirmed that Keith Cowan has departed the club.
Cowan signed back for Harps when Dave Rogers was announced as the new manager, and the Ramelton man was made club captain.
However, the PE teacher hasn’t featured much in recent weeks, and has now decided to part ways with the Ballybofey club.
In a statement, Finn Harps said: “Keith and his wife Edel have recently welcomed their baby girl into the world and along with work commitments it has been agreed that his family must take priority.
“Thanks for everything Keith.”
Cowan commented on Twitter, saying: “Regrettably my spell 2nd @FinnHarpsFC has come to an end. It has been a difficult decision, but one that has been made in the interest of both the team and myself. I did not want to give the role any less than it deserves. However, family and work commitments must take precedence at this time in my life.
“I would like to thank the gaffer, his staff, but most of all my teammates and wish them and the club every success in the future.
“Up the Harps.”
