Harps beaten by Bohs in Ballybofey

Finn Harps 1-2 Bohemians

Finn Harps suffered defeat for the first time in eight games as they lost out to Bohemians in a lively contest at Finn Park this evening.

Harps were not happy with Bohs’ first goal in the 32nd minute as Will Seymore was down injured in the box when Promise Omochere headed home.

It got worse for the home side ten minutes later when Georgie Kelly scored a penalty after Ross Tierney was fouled.

Harps went close to pulling a goal back when Ryan Rainey glanced a header wide in the 59th minute. However, Bohs looked more likely to score as the second half progressed.

Ollie Horgan’s men did up the ante late on and Ryan Rainey pulled a goal back in the 80th minute.

The vocal home supporters urged their team on and the Harps players thought the ball had crossed the line in the 93rd minute during a goalmouth scramble but no goal was given and the final whistle blew moments later.

The Ballybofey men are back in action on Friday evening when they host Dundalk in the quarter-final of the FAI Cup.
