Harps battle back to get decent point in Cobh

Cobh Ramblers 1-1 Finn Harps

Finn Harps battled back to claim a good point against Cobh Ramblers at St Colman’s Park tonight.

The first half was evenly contested but Kai O’Neill put Cobh in the lead on the stroke of half-time.

Both sides went close in the third quarter before Nathan Lumingo levelled matters with a low strike in the 72nd minute.

Cobh pressed hard after that and they struck the post twice as Harps came under pressure.

The defence stood firm and teenage goalkeeper Corey Sheridan made a fine save from Brendeán Frahill in the 93rd minute.

Harps held on for a share of the spoils and Kevin McHugh’s men now have two home games coming up against Wexford and Treaty United in the next fortnight.
