FINN Harps are no strangers to replays in the FAI Cup.

Ten years ago, on their last visit to the quarter-finals, Jonathan Minnock scored in a 1-1 draw with Cork City in Ballybofey, but Cork took the replay 2-0.

The previous season, 2001/02, Tom Mohan netted a goal in a gripping tie with Dundalk at Oriel Park, but Dundalk prevailed, winning 2-0 in the Finn Park replay.

In February 2000, Harps hammered Longford Town 7-1 in a snowy replay after a James Mulligan brace earned a 2-2 draw at Strokestown Road. Kevin McHugh played, and scored, in that replay.

On route to the Cup final in 1999, Harps had a quarter-final replay that never was. Jonathan Speak and Mulligan scored in a 2-2 draw with Kilkenny City at Buckley Park. The replay was fixed for the following Tuesday, but Kilkenny claimed that an injury crisis and Michael Reddy being away on international duty meant they would struggle to field eleven players. Come the tuesday, Kilkenny failed to appear and were turfed out of the competition.
