HARKIN – The death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital of John Harkin, Clonkillymore, Termon.
Deeply regretted by his loving wife Betty; daughters Marian (Howe, Portsalon), Helen (Murray, Manorcunningham), Annette (Maughan, Killala), Eilish (Silvermines, Co. Tipperary), Sara (Termon); sons James (Falcarragh), Edward, John and Hugh (Termon). Pre-deceased by his sisters Essie (Trentagh) and Kathleen (Termon). Sadly missed by his family, sister-in-law Sally, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, twenty two much loved grandchildren, sisters Mary (San Francisco), Anne (Letterkenny), Evelyn (Creeslough), Margery (Kerrykeel) and brothers Seamus (Glasgow) and Eamonn (Kilmacrennan).

Remains will be reposing at his late residence from 12 noon to 10 pm on Thursday, 22nd December and Friday, 23rd December. Rosary each night at 9 pm. Funeral from there on Saturday, 24th December for Requiem Mass at 11 am in St. Columba’s Church, Termon, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.
House private from 10 pm and on the morning of the funeral.
Family flowers only, donations in-lieu if desired to Friends of Letterkenny University Hospital, c/o any family member. Shuttle bus will run from the Termon Hall from 12 noon each day.
Annette and Eilish have arranged for memorial Masses in Killala and the Silvermines in the new year to facilitate those wishing to sympathise on their loss – St. Patricks Church, Killala, Friday, 13th January, 7.30 pm; Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Silvermines, TBC.
