Dan Baird & Homemade Sin.

DONEGAL audiences have a rare opportunity to experience some guitar fuelled raw southern boogie, live and up close, when Dan Baird & Homemade Sin play the intimate Regional Cultural Centre auditorium in Letterkenny on May 3, as part of their current European tour.

Dan Baird is best known as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist from the chart-topping country rock band The Georgia Satellites, one of the most ferocious bands of the 80s.

He has headed up a number of highly rated alt-country outfits over the years but his current band Homemade Sin has one of the best line-ups to date and marks a real career high.

Dan Baird & Homemade Sin have a great line-up of first rate seasoned musicians, which features a total of three ex-members from The Georgia Satellites, including bassist Keith Christopher and drummer Mauro Magellan.

Homemade Sin also showcases the phenomenal talents of guitarist Warner E. Hodges, who tours and records with Jason & the Scorchers.

Homemade Sin perform a mixture of Baird’s solo material in addition to the hits and fan favourites from his years with The Georgia Satellites.

The concert starts at 8pm and tickets priced €12 and €10 concession can be booked at An Grianan Theatre Box Office on 074 91 20777.

The Regional Cultural Centre is operated by Donegal County Council, as part of its Cultural Services Division and receives annual funding from The Arts Council and Letterkenny Town Council.
