A NURSING home in Milford has been given the green light for a two-storey extension.
Proposals were lodged with Donegal County Council in December 2024 by applicant Philip O’Donnell on behalf of Áras Uí Dhomhnaill for the extension to provide an additional 25 en-suite bedrooms with ancillary spaces.
The proposed plans further comprised a two-storey staff accommodation block containing eight two-bed apartments, and upgrading of the previously approved and installed on-site wastewater treatment plant.
All associated site works, including additional parking and circulation routes with access from existing entrance onto the L-1362-2 road were also included in proposals.
Donegal County Council has granted planning permission, with 19 conditions attached.
In the interests of traffic safety, prior to the commencement of development, the applicant must submit to the Planning Authority a written Construction Management Plan, outlining a number of things including the location and details of all the temporary construction access to the site, and temporary construction compounds during all phases.
The development shall not commence without the written agreement of the Planning Authority, and shall thereafter proceed in strict conformity with the agreed Construction Management Plan.
