A MAJOR housing development in Ramelton has been given the green light.
Donegal County Council has granted permission to applicant Glenmac Developments Limited for the construction of 43 dwellings at Ballyboe.
The development also comprises all associated site works, connection of foul sewer to existing network on site including foul effluent pump station and access through Coylin Court housing estate, and proposed pedestrian/cycle link to bank terrace road at Ballyboe, Ramelton.
Twenty-nine conditions are attached to the permission, including that prior to the first occupation of any dwelling house within the scheme, all infrastructure, service connection to existing utility networks, neighbourhood and childcare facilities, bus stops, cycle ways and footpaths necessary to support the delivery of services and quality of life to the new residential development and its neighbourhood shall be completed.
Prior to the first occupation of any dwelling house, traffic calming, signage, and lineage shall be installed and completed in consultation with the Executive Engineer (Roads) for the area.
Another stipulation is that the construction of the development shall be managed in accordance with a Construction Management Plan.
The plan, to be submitted to and agreed in writing with the Planning Authority, shall provide for the location and details of temporary construction access to the site, the phasing of construction works and the management of traffic flows on the public road during the construction period.
