GRA to go ahead with vote of no confidence in Commissioner

THE Garda Representative Association has confirmed it will proceed with a no confidence vote in the Garda Commissioner Drew Harris.

The GRA met with Commissioner Harris and his team this morning to discuss the dispute which centres around the potential return of a pre-Covid roster in November.

The GRA said this decision will impact officers’ work-life balance, resources, see up to 20 per cent less officers working at any one time and could result in some public services being affected.

The vote, which could take up to four to six weeks, will ballot around 11,000 members.
