Gorman helps Woking to win over Wealdstone

BY MICHAEL LOCKHART

FORMER Letterkenny Rovers and current Woking FC midfielder Dale Gorman has settled into his new club and one-time rival nicely since his departure from Barnet in late May.

Gorman helped his team to a 1-0 win over Wealdstone on Tuesday night.

The skipper has made six appearances in the National League for Woking so far this season and has chipped in with one assist in that time.

Gorman, who represented Northern Ireland at U17, U19 and U21 level, left Letterkenny in 2013 after receiving a scholarship from Stevenage. He made his senior professional debut in a league cup loss against Ppswich in August 2015.

The 28-year-old will hope he can help push the team one step further than he could with Barnet last year by helping Woking to promotion to League 2.

The Cardinals’ next match is on Saturday 14 September as they welcome Oldham Athletic to Kingfield Stadium.
