PLANNING permission to renovate a pub in Letterkenny appealed to An Bord Pleanála by former Donegal County Council senior planner turned whistle-blower over alleged planning irregularities, Gerard Convie has been given the green light by An Bord Pleanála.

Mr Convie, of Planning Services, Lower Main Street, Letterkenny, lodged an objection with the national independent planning body in July 2024 after Donegal County Council granted planning permission for the renovation of Central Bar, Upper Main Street, Letterkenny, subject to five conditions.
