Go-ahead for housing development in Killylastin

PLANNING permission for the construction of 16 houses has been given the green light by Donegal County Council.

Applicant Property Hold Limited lodged plans with Donegal County Council for the erection of the dwellings in An Gleann Rua, Killylastin, in April of this year.

The proposed development also comprised access to existing public services, including all other associated site development works.

Planners have granted the go-ahead for the development, with 27 conditions attached. These include that onsite construction works shall be between the hours of 8am to 6pm from Monday to Friday , 8.30am to 3pm on Saturday, and shall exclude Sundays and all bank holidayspublic holidays.

Prior to the commencement of the development, the developer is to submit a maintenance programme for any proposed attenuation systems, including routine inspection schedules and operational protocols ‘As-constructed’ drawings, CCTV surveys, and safety files for storm water infrastructure shall be submitted as part of the Taking in Charge Residential Estates processed.

Prior to the first occupation of any dwelling house within the scheme all infrastructure service connections to existing networks, neighbourhood facilities, open space provision, cycleways and public lighting, necessary to support the delivery of services and quality of life to the new residential development and its neighbourhood shall be complete.

The developer has also been ordered to ensure traffic calming, signage and lineage is installed and completed in consultation with the Area Roads Executive Engineer.

The construction of the development shall be managed in accordance with a Construction Management Plan, which shall be submitted to, and agreed in writing with, the Planning Authority prior to commencement of development. This plan must provide for a number of things, including, the location and details of temporary construction access to the site, the phasing of construction works, the management of traffic flows on the public road during on-stie construction works, and the location of all site officesbuildings and parking accommodation for constructionstaff vehicles.
