Glenswilly got their Under 21 campaign off to a good start with a one-point win over Naomh Conaill in a pulsating encounter at Páirc Naomh Columba today.

Shea Malone hit two goals and Daniel Breslin also rattled the net for Naomh Conaill as they led by 3-4 to 2-6 at the break. Oisin McGrenra and Donal Gallagher scored the majors for the Glen men.

Glenswilly’s Mark Bonner and Daithi Gildea and Naomh Conaill’s Sean Doherty and Max Campbell swapped goals in the second half.

Neil Gallagher’s Glenswilly managed to dig out a tense win by the minimum in tough conditions.
