Glenswilly get off to flying start in Division 1 against MacCumhaills

Glenswilly opened their Division 1 campaign off with a comfortable win against MacCumhaills in MacCumhaill Park.

Gary McDaid’s side were a point down after 15 minutes before they went seven clear five minutes later as Oisin McGrenra hit a goal along with two point frees from McGrenra and Kealan Dunleavy.

Joe Boyle and Jamie Keegan hit a two point free each for the hosts and Marty O’Reilly kicked two points but the away side were 1-10 to 0-8 ahead at the break.

And by the 40th minute they were 14 clear thanks to goals from Pauric Devine and Mark Bonner.

Substitute Bonner added a second goal in added time to seal a win in their opening game, while MacCumhaills suffered their second loss after an away defeat to Termon first game out.
