THE inaugural Glenswilly 5k attracted more than 700 walkers and runners on Tuesday evening.
Blessed with excellent weather, the event was organised to raise funds for underage football at Glenswilly GAA Club and all money raised will go directly towards helping the youngsters at the club to enjoy their sport.
The race was won by Letterkenny athlete Jonathan Patton (16.06) who had two seconds to spare on his club mate Michel Black with Ivan Toner (16.23) completing a one, two three for the black and amber men.
The first lady across the fiish line was also wearing the LAC coulours, namely Noreen McGettigan (19.10) with Humphrey Murphy and Joe English winning the M45 and M50 categories respectively.
