GLENFIN manager Frank Ward says this Saturday’s Under 21 ‘A’ Final is a David v Goliath contest.
Ward’s charges have been in great form over the last couple of weeks, and are full value for their place in the final which takes place in MacCumhaill Park on Sunday at 3pm.
However, the Glenfin bainisteoir believes his team are heavy underdogs against a St Eunan’s team who have passed every challenge they have come against so far at their leisure.
“It really is a David v Goliath match. We’re going to be up against it, but the favourites don’t always win,” said Ward.
“Loads of teams would love to be in the position that we are in, and we just have to perform for 60 minutes.
“The lads realise the opportunity they have and I just hope that they can go out and do themselves justice.
“We know the quality that St Eunan’s have and they have county experience all over the pitch.
“But we will definitely be going there to give it everything we have.”
