GLENSWILLY Under 21 manager Aidy Glackin has welcomed the extended championship at this age group in 2022, and his team are hoping to keep their campaign going this Saturday by booking a spot in the Under 21 ‘B’ decider.
In previous years, the competition was run off in a straight knock-out format.
However, the new split season allowed for some extra time this year and a group stage was introduced.
Glenswilly won three of their four matches to make it through to the quarter-finals and they then squeezed past Naomh Padraig, Muff last week.
They face Inishowen opposition again at Hibernian Park in Burt this Saturday at 1pm and Glackin and his team are looking forward to the challenge.
“This is my third season in charge of the Under 21s and it has been very enjoyable so far.
“In the other two years we were beaten in the first round and that was it over.
