GIBBONS, Susan

GIBBONS – The peaceful death has occurred of Susan Gibbons in the wonderful care of the staff at St. Joseph’s Community Hospital, Stranorlar. Beloved wife of the late Joe Gibbons; always tenderly loving, caring, kind, gentle and sadly missed mother of Patrick and Rose; loving grandmother of Sarah and Laura Gibbons; loving mother-in-law of Ger Gibbons; loving aunt of Breege Kennedy and Hugo Melly; loving grand aunt of Sarah and Hugh Kennedy and members of the family of her late beloved niece Mary Sheeran. Pre-deceased by her beloved parents, Joe and Susan McGill; her beloved brothers, James and John; beloved sisters, Mollie and Bridie.

One of the most decent human beings who ever lived and who will be missed by many friends she made throughout her long lifetime.

Susan’s remains will arrive at The Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, Glenfinn at 5 pm on Monday for Reception Prayers and will repose in ‘The Oratory’ in The Church, with Rosary at 7 pm. Funeral Mass at 10 am on Tuesday, with burial afterwards in Kilteevogue Cemetery. The Funeral Mass can be viewed on:
