The weekend will kick off on Friday night, June 1, with a the launch of a CD in aid of Cancer Donegal at Ionad Teampall Chroine (8pm).

Rosses Tree Of Life features Rosses artists who have kindly donated their songs and music to this CD for a very worthy cause. This will be followed by the Street Barbecue Session with music by none other than More Power To Your Elbow (9pm).

Following on from the phenomenal reception to last year’s show Ragús, this year’s headline is of the same calibre featuring some of the best seán-nós dancers, musicians and singers that the country has to offer at the Rosses Community School Gym.

Having spent nearly a year entertaining crowds in the Windy City, Chicago, the famous Connemara seán-nós dancing family, The Cunninghams will bring you their fantastic show Atlantic Steps, featuring some very special guests, on Saturday, June 2.

The show is spear-headed by dancer Brian Cunningham (27) who is joined by his siblings Irene, Ashline, Michael and Lorraine to bring the one of Ireland’s oldest traditions to the world stage.

Atlantic Steps is the inspiring epic story seán-nós dancing, portrayed through the music, song, dance and Atlantic Ocean-inspired energy of the Connemara region.

Centered around the joyful seán-nós (old style) dance of the extraordinary Cunningham siblings, the show continues to move festival and theatre audiences to their feet.
