Generators seized on suspicion of being stolen goods

GARDAÍ are warning people to be vigilant following reports a man was allegedly selling generators out out a van in the Newtowncunningham area.

Gardaí attended the scene on Thursday, October 16 and seized a number of generators on the suspicion that they may be stolen goods.

The investigation is ongoing.

“We wish to thank the members of the public who alerted gardaí to the matter. We ask the public to continue to be vigilant when out and about and to report suspicious people/vehicles to us immediately,” a garda spokesperson said.
