TAOISEACH Simon Harris has confirmed his intentions to call the General Election tomorrow, Friday.
Speaking on RTE’s Six One programme yesterday evening, the Fine Gael leader said the likely polling day will be Friday, November 29.
“It is my intention to seek dissolution of the Dáil by President Higgins on Friday and as I would have discussed with the other coalition leaders, it is my hope that we will have polling day in this country on November 29,” the Taoiseach said.
“I am looking forward to the weeks ahead and asking the people of Ireland for a mandate.”
