FIANNA Fail has secured almost fifty per cent of the votes from the first 35 boxes tallied in the Donegal Consittuency with out-going TD Charlie McConalogue streaking ahead of the field.
McConalogue has already garnered over 4,500 votes with fellow outgoing TD Padraig MacLochlainn (Sinn Fein) on 2,000 with Joe McHugh (Fine Gael) next best on 1,000.
Howveer, as with all tally figures these come with a health warning while it should also be remembered that the bozes open to daye are all in Inishowen – McConalogue’s heartland
