Gary Boyle has been ratified as the new manager of the Donegal Under 20 county team.
The Naomh Muire clubman, who has managed the Rosses club, has been involved with Declan Bonner’s backroom teams at Minor, Under 20, and Senior level and has worked with the Donegal GAA Academy previously.
A teacher at Rosses Community School, he is currently part of the Southwest Donegal MacRory Cup management team.
Boyle comes into this role to replace Shaun Paul Barrett, who spent one year in charge in his second stint with the team as they were beaten by Derry in the Ulster semi-final in MacCumhaill Park after an injury time winning point from the Oak Leaf county.
The appointment was confirmed at the November County Committee meeting last night, while the senior and minor managers from last year in both Football and Hurling will remain in place, as will Adie Gaffey as the Under 20 Hurling manager.
Senior Hurling: Michael McCann
Senior Football: Jim McGuinness
Under 20 Hurling: Adie Gaffey
Under 20 Football: Gary Boyle
Minor Hurling: Daithí Roberts
Minor Football: Barry Ward
