Gardaí trying to track family of missing man

Gardaí are trying to track down the family of a missing man, as an investigation into his disappearance continues in Sliabh Liag.

The popular beauty spot remains closed off to the public for a fourth day, as gardaí try to trace the family of a man who has been missing since the weekend.

Gardaí believe the man may have been assaulted.

Searches have been ongoing since Monday for the man who is believed to be in his mid 60s and from Northern Ireland.

A man, aged in his 30s, and a woman in her 20s were arrested in connection with the alleged assault earlier this week but both  were released without charge.

Gardai are continuing to appeal to the public for information. Anyone who who was in the vicinty of Sliabh Liag between Saturday evening, June 24 and the following evening and who may have camera footage, including dash cam footage, is being urged to make it available to them.
