Gardaí seek public’s assistance following Letterkenny burglary

GARDAÍ are seeking the assistance of the public in connection with a burglary that occurred at a house in the area of Whitethorn Park, Letterkenny on Saturday, November 15 at approximately 4.15pm.

Two males are believed to have entered the vacant house via the kitchen window which they damaged and they then stole a sum of cash and a passport from an upstairs bedroom.

One of the males was described as being tall and he was wearing blue jeans and a navy shell type jacket. The other was shorter and was wearing all black clothing. Both of them had their faces/heads covered.

CCTV has been viewed and the two males were captured walking from the direction of Whitethorn Grove towards Whitethorn Park at approximately 4pm.

Following the burglary, they ran in the direction of Knocknamona.

“We appeal to anyone who may have observed these two males on foot in those areas to get in touch with Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100.

“If anyone travelled in any of those areas between 3.45pm and 4.45pm with a dash-cam, we ask them to please make the footage available to us. The Garda Confidential line may be reached on 1800 666 111 with any relevant information also,” a garda spokesperson said.
