GARDAÍ have renewed their appeal for information in relation to an assault in Ballybofey in which a man received serious injuries.
The incident occurred at Main Street, near the junction for Glenfin Street, in the early hours of Sunday, April 21 at 1.30am.
The incident happened shortly after the Donegal v Derry game a few hours prior, and gardaí are hoping this may help people remember something significant.
A man was assaulted by another man, receiving serious but non-life threatening injuries as a result.
Gardaí have said the man being sought by them in connection with the incident is described as being in his early 20s, wearing a quarter zip top and he had dark hair.
“There was a large crowd out socializing on the night in question as the Donegal v Derry game had been played on Saturday, April 20. Hopefully this fact might jog a few memories.
“If anybody can assist with information, we ask them to please contact Gardaí in Letterkenny on (074) 9167100.”
