Gardaí investigating woman’s death in Kilmacrennan

GARDAI are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman in Kilmacrennan.

Gardaí were alerted to the incident outside a private residence at approximately 8.20pm last night.

The body of the woman has been taken to Letterkenny University Hospital where a post-mortem will be conducted. The Garda Press Office advised that no foul play is suspected at this time.

A spokesperson said: “Gardaí are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman outside a private residence in Kilmacrennan, Co. Donegal on Thursday, 20th January 2022.

“The body of the woman has been taken to the mortuary at Letterkenny University Hospital where a post-mortem will be conducted. A file will now be prepared for the Coroner.”
