Gardaí investigating Letterkenny car fire

GARDAÍ in Letterkenny are appealing for information after a car was found engulfed in flames.

On Thursday, January 26, at approximately 11.57pm Gardaí were alerted to a car on fire at Dooballagh, Letterkenny.

The car, a silver Toyota was on the hard shoulder of the Main Letterkenny to Stranorlar Road, approximately 1.5 miles from Lurgybrack.

Gardaí and the fire services attended the scene.

The car was engulfed in flames upon their arrival.

A garda spokesperson said: “We appeal to any road user who had a dash cam and who travelled on the N13, Letterkenny to Stranorlar road between 11.30pm and 11.55pm on that date to make the footage available to Gardaí.

“If anybody has any relevant information in relation to the incident, we ask them to contact Gardaí in Letterkenny on (074) 9167100.”
