GARDAI are treating a fatal house fire near Glenties overnight as a ‘tragic accident’.

Gardaí were alerted following reports of a house fire in Glenties shortly after midnight.

“Fire services extinguished the fire and suspected human remains were located inside the property.

“At this time, Gardaí are treating the incident as a tragic accident.

“The scene remains preserved and the Coroner has been notified.

“A file will be prepared for the Coroner’s Court.”
