GARDAÍ are investigating an alleged assault that is believed to have occurred at Upper Main Street, Letterkenny last night, Monday, April 14 shortly before 10.40pm.
A man was walking up the street when he is reported to have been assaulted by a group of 6 to 7 males.
The man was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital to receive medical treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening in nature.
“We appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100 or the Garda Confidential line on 1800 666 111.
“We are also making our usual appeal for dash-cam footage from the area,” a Garda spokesperson said.
