GARDAI in Inishowen are investigating a fatal road traffic collision at Churchtown, Carndonagh, on Monday evening, December 30.
Shortly before 6pm a 70 year old female pedestrian was struck by a car.
The woman received serious head injuries and was taken to Altnagelvin Hospital where she died shortly before midnight.

The driver of the car, a man in his 40s, was not injured.
The scene in sealed off and Garda forensic collision investigators are carrying out an examination of the area.
