A post mortem as part of garda investigations into the sudden death of a young girl in Letterkenny will not now take place until tomorrow (Thursday).
Gardai in the town were contacted by Letterkenny General Hospital early this morning. The girl died just before 7am. It is understood that she collapsed and was rushed to hospital.The girl is from the town and was 17.
Detectives are now carrying out investigations.
It is believed that their enquiries include tracing her last movements and interviewing people who may have been at a licensed premises in the town.
