A DONEGAL garda inspector has said gardaí need the assistance of the public in their continuing crackdown on prostitution in Donegal.
Inspector Goretti Sheridan was speaking after gardaí in Letterkenny raided two brothels located at Larkin’s Lane and St Eunan’s Court in the early hours of Saturday morning.
There were six arrests made, which included four women, one man suspected to be the organiser and a further male who had availed of the brothel’s services.
Two Romanian women were arrested at Larkin’s Lane while a woman from Equador and one from the Dominican Republic were arrested at St Eunan’s Court.
All six people were charged with various offences and have been released from custody. They are due to appear before Letterkenny District Court in July.
