Trevor Alcorn concedes that it wasn’t his aim to freshen up the Gaoth Dobhair team so much this year, but he has had to throw some men in at the deep end and they are adapting well to senior championship football.
Gaoth Dobhair have only a handful of survivors remaining from their 2018 Ulster winning team, as injuries and emigration have taken their toll.
However, the Magheragallon men have had success at underage level in recent years and some of those players are now stepping up to fill the void.
