Gaoth Dobhair need to cut out sloppy play

GAOTH Dobhair star Eamon McGee says his side need to cut out the sloppy play when they take on Kilcar this Sunday.

Gaoth Dobhair reached the semi-final stage by defeating Bundoran last Sunday, but McGee admitted that they got a ‘wee fright’ in that match as the Star of the Sea men came back to force extra-time.

The Magheragallon men took their eye off the ball and they were almost left to rue their poor attitude.

McGee is wary of Kilcar and he knows they are a formidable side who are hungry for success.

“If you’re going to be sloppy, they (Kilcar) are the one team in Donegal that are going to punish you.

“Kilcar are talked about as favourites for the Donegal Championship and contenders for the Ulster Championship, and rightfully so when you see the players that are there.

“We know each other well at this stage and there will be a good bit of homework done on both teams.

“It’s just about getting the recovery and see what happens.”
