Gaoth Dobhair desperate for the win

None of the pundits had predicted a Gaoth Dobhair defeat against Termon last weekend and manager Conal Sheridan has admitted that the result has left his team in a tricky position.

“We’re in a position that we didn’t want to be in going into the last game, but look, that’s championship football and we have to deal with it now. This is our own championship final now this weekend, we have to win it.

“We know the task ahead of us, Naomh Conaill are champions for a reason and they have a great squad of players to choose from, but we have to go there looking for a win and the boys are all looking forward to it.”

Gaoth Dobhair took to the field last weekend without the injured Eamon McGee and he remains a doubt ahead of this weekend’s vital clash.
