Cloughaneely 0-18 Gaeil Fhánada 2-16
GAEIL Fhánada retained their Intermediate Championship status with a win over Cloughaneely in a feisty play-off at Moyle Park on Saturday.
Aidan McAteer’s Fanad led by 1-8 to 0-6 at half-time with Shaun Carr scoring the goal.
Patrick Carr added a major in the second half and Fanad were ten points up after 42 minutes.
Cloughaneely started to rally and scored five points on the trot while they were back to within three heading into injury time with young star Donnachadh Ó Baoighill leading their charge.
However, Shaun Kerr then provided the insurance point for Gaeil Fhánada.
