Funerals to take place of St Johnston collision victims

The funerals of the two teenagers killed in a collision in St Johnston on Tuesday night will take place this weekend.

Daniel Cullen and Caoimhín Porter McLoone, both aged 18 and from the Shantallow area of Derry City, were killed when the car they were in collided with a lorry on the R236 road in Saint Johnston.

The driver of the car was brought to Altnagelvin Hospital with serious injuries and subsequently transferred to Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast.

The funeral of Caoimhín Porter-McLoone will take place tomorrow in St Brigid’s Church, Carnhill, at 11am.  He will be laid to rest in the City Cemetery, Derry,  afterwards.

Daniel Cullen will be laid to rest in the City Cemetery in Derry on Sunday following Requiem Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes, Steelstown at 1.15pm.
