THE funerals of two well known Letterkenny men who died in unrelated incidents yesterday will take place this weekend.
Tributes have flowed following the deaths of Kieran McGrath, PRO and committee member of Letterkenny Rovers FC.
Likewise sympathies have been offered to the family of Liam Haughey, a stalwart of Bonagee Utd FC.
Both men have been described as “hugely respected football figures”.
Mr Haughey of Mount Pleasant, Mountain Top, will be laid to rest in New Leck cemetery following his funeral in the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Letterkenny, at 11am on Saturday.
Kieran McGrath’s funeral will take place on Sunday in St Eunan’s Cathedral at noon. Burial afterwards in Conwal cemetery.
