The funeral takes place today of Daena Tighe.

The 21-year-old woman from Buncrana had been reported missing, having last been seen on Friday, January 6, on Cockhill Road in the town at midday.

Gardai launched an appeal to help find the young woman, but sadly this search was stood down on Tuesday following the discovery of Daenas body.

Late of Marian Park, Buncrana, Daena will be laid to rest today following requiem mass in St Mary’s Church, Cockhill, at 11am.

Daena is survived by her mother Sharon, Sharon, sisters Alex and Kayla, her father Tony, her uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family and many friends.
