DEEP  regret was occasioned by the recent death of Joe Boyle (Ann Eoin), Sheskinarone, Cruckakeehan and Cardiff, Wales, which took place in Dungloe Community Hospital.

Aged 86 years, Joe was a native of Cruckakeehan, Annagry and a member of a well known local family.

A most industrious and hard working man, Joe emigrated in his youth, working firstly in Scotland and England, before moving to Wales, where he spent most of his working life.

In 1966, he married the love of his life, Margaret Boyle (Doalty), Keadue, in St. Mary’s Church, Kincasslagh.

He worked in tunnels and construction for years and then afterwards with his brother Neilly, set up their own construction company, where they specialised in building roads, kerbs and general works.

Joe and Margaret always kept in close contact with their local areas in the Rosses and were regular visitors on their annual holidays, where they always supported local festivals and special events.

Joe was also a keen sportsman and had special interest in tug o war and fielded as an anchor man for the Cardiff TOW team.

He was an outstanding husband, father, grandfather, brother, relative and friend. Joe was a lovely gentleman and will be sadly missed.

His funeral took place to Belcruit Cemetery, following Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Kincasslagh, celebrated by Rev. Fr. Pat Ward who also officiated at the graveside.
