THE funeral takes place in Stranorlar on Saturday of Ronan Roddy of Trenamullin. He passed away at the Donegal Hospice on Wednesday.
Mr Roddy , who was in his forties was very well-known through his job at Mac’s Mace in Letterkenny and his volunteering with Finn Harps for more than 20 years.
Aidan Campbell, Marketing Manager with Finn Harps described Ronan as a member of the Finn Harps family.
“He was a steward at the club for over 20 years and a permanent fixture on match night. He was so loved by everyone. All the players from the league knew him. He had a great personality and was full of humour and mischief. His death was a great shock,” Mr Campbell said.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated in the Church of Mary Immaculate, Stranorlar at 11 am on Saturday morning with burial afterwards in Drumboe Cemetery.
Mr Roddy was the beloved son of Phil and Pauline and much loved brother of Timothy, Louise, and the late Adeen. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his father, mother, brother, sister, sister in law Sally-Ann, nieces Nadine, Freya, and Isla, extended family and friends.
