THE funeral will take place today of Alan James Moore, Holly View, Lurgybrack, Letterkenny.

Alan passed away suddenly in Letterkenny University Hospital on Tuesday. News of his passing has prompted many messages of sadness among his many friends and those who knew him.

Alan was a bus driver with Marley’s Coach Hire and was a popular friend and colleague.

He drove countless sports teams to matches and tributes have been paid by a number of clubs and organisations
who got to know him over
the years.

His funeral cortege will leave his father’s home at Swilly View, Lurgybrack, at 1.45 pm today, proceeding to Conwal Parish Church, Letterkenny, for the funeral service.

After the service, burial will take place in Gortlee graveyard. Alan was predeceased by his mother, Marion and his sister, Joan Trearty.

He will be forever loved and cherished by his father, Ernie, wife, Tina, son, Paul and daughter-in-law, Cora, son, Leigh and daughter-in-law, Natalie, and his much loved grandchildren, Harry, Charlie, Isla, Max and baby Aria.
