THE funeral of the 20-year-old Donegal man who was killed in a road traffic accident in the United States takes place tomorrow, August 9.
Patrick John Lynch, formerly of Townparks, Convoy, but residing in Hudson, western Florida, from Convoy was killed early on Monday morning, July 29.
The young Donegal man died at the scene after the 2006 Nissan 350Z he was driving hit a grass shoulder and then collided with a signpost in Florida. According to police reports he was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle.
Patrick had emigrated with his parents Paul and Eileen to Florida 10 years ago. His body was returned home during the week and are reposing at his uncle Brian Lynch’s home in Milltown, Convoy until removal tomorrow morning to St Mary’s Church, Convoy, for funeral mass at 11am. He is survived by his parents, sisters Chasmin Snyder and Katelyn Lynch, extended family and friends.
