Fr Brian Quinn will be laid to rest on Wednesday.

The Very Rev Brian Quinn, PP, Parish of Aughaninshin (Irish Martyrs), passed away yesterday at Letterkenny University Hospital. He was 64.

Fr Quinn’s remains will repose at the Church of the Irish Martyrs, Letterkenny, today from 6pm to 9pm and from 11am to 9pm tomorrow.  Rosary in the church at 9pm each evening.

Requiem Mass takes place on Wednesday, June 29, at 11am in the Church of the Irish Martyrs, with burial afterwards in Conwal Cemetery.

Fr Quinn was ordained on June 13 in St Brigid’s Church, Ballintra. He received his primary education in St Eunan’s National School, Laghey and secondary school at De La Salle College, Ballyshannon (1970-1975) before beginning his journey to Priesthood at St Kieran’s College, Kilkenny (1976-1982).

Fr Quinn’s ministry included  St Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny, from 1982-1989, CC, Tory Island (pro-tem) 1986, CC, Kilcar 1989-1991,CC Milford 1991-1992, CC Golan 1992-1994 and PP Aughaninshin (Irish Martyrs, Letterkenny), ADM 1994, PP 2000 to present.
